First, I have a dream where Jack Thompson ("famed" video game hater lawyer) is chasing me and I have to sneak into his hotel room for some reason. And then today, I dreamed about iPods revolting against the world and attacking their owners.

Hey! I took some pictures!
For the last I-don't-know-how-many-anymore years, TxDOT has been busy reconstructing the Katy Freeway into a million lane monstrosity. Now, I know in the end, they will beautify the place with trees and such, but come on. They left out a Commuter Rail option! Of course, the only people I have to blame are our local transportation authority METRO. They were asked over and over again by TxDOT about a rail option, but METRO kept saying "nah... it's cool." Of course, now that the freeway is pretty almost done, METRO is now saying "Hey! Can we put Rail down here?". Yeah... nice going, jackasses. And just where are you going to build this thing? If you weren't too busy being a real estate company, focusing you attentions on theWestpark Richmond line where I'm sure your realty buddies are just waiting to capitalize on, instead of a being a transportation organization like you're suppose to, maybe you would actually done what we along the Katy corridor would really have enjoyed and made great use of. I'm sure the people in Katy will enjoy their 25 to 30 mile trip still sitting in traffic because adding one lane in each direction is not going to solve a damn thing.
Let me get off my high-horse now.
Here's something wacky! I didn't know what to get my friend Jackie for her birthday. Being jobless, I have to watch what I spend my money on, so I figured a homemade treat would be the best. And nothing says "Happy Birthday!" than holding the Cookie Monster hostage and making demands. Of course, I have no idea what to do with all that leftover fuzz.
While perusing the local Micro Center the other day, what did I find? Used SNES games! This is a real treat, considering places like GameStop and GameCrazy no longer sell these games. If they saw the prices of some of these on eBay, they'd realize they're missing out on an incredible mark-up market.
And to wrap things up, how about we dream. And what better dream to have than Stephen Colbert's Americone Dream! I have been waiting forever for this to show up in our local stores. Thanks to a tip from my brother, I finally have it in my hands! Sure, there may be 100% of my daily allowance of Fat and 208% of my daily allowance for Saturated Fat (based on a 2000 calorie diet), but it's worth each and every heart-clogging bite.
hmmm.. Think I may need to get back into Wii Health again...

As I began thinking about where to begin and where to go with this post, I had planned on taking out my aggression and hatred toward my previous employer and some of the co-workers I had to work with. I then realized it's not worth it. Not one bit.Friday was my last day with Getronics, a company name I can now mention without any endangerment to my employment to the company. As some may remember, the last time I said some things about that job, it had made a few people mad. I still don't regret what I had said as a lot of it still holds true today and has not changed in the year and a half ago I had stated it. I planned on taking those statements a step further today, but there's one reason why I won't. I don't care anymore.
Unlike the people I made the statements about, I have moved on with my life. I didn't carry a year and a half grudge for one incident like others. As I am no longer employed with Getronics and left on good terms with my co-workers in the call center I worked in, I'm happy. I can leave all that baggage that I was carrying with me day-in and day-out behind. But why did I leave my job to begin with?
Originally, I had plans to follow my dream of moving to Canada starting next month. Those dreams are no more for the time being. Due to issues beyond my control, I'll still be in Houston. And that's fine. Although it would have been great to leave this town, things happen for a reason. I'm sure all the troubles that prevent my moving will work themselves out for the best in the end. Until then, I have to focus my attentions elsewhere.
That attention will now focus on the company I have been wanting to get off the ground for nearly two years. I won't make mention of it here at this point, but those that know what I'm talking about are all very positive about it and have good feelings about it. And as long as I'm surrounded by that positive energy and encouragement, I know for sure it will succeed. When the time is right, I'll talk more about it here.
You may also notice that this is the only post on my web site at this time. That is because I am starting anew. Again. I want to do my best to not be negative toward anything unless it completely deserves it. By staying positive, it means everything around me will be positive too. That be my friends, family, former co-workers, my business, or whatever else it may be.
My new journey in life begins now.
